ABYstyle Studio throws us into the hostile world of Hunter x Hunter with this figure of the mysterious Hisoka, let’s find out in this review
After having already got your hands on a figure belonging to the “SFC” (Super Figure Collection) of ABYstyle Studio, we are ready to reply. While last time the protagonist was Midoriya from My Hero Academia, this time we dive into the world of Hunter x Hunter. We know it well: there are not many collectibles belonging to this highly appreciated work with a sobbing development.
If we then reduce the range to affordable figures we could count them on the fingers of one hand. Well, this one Hisoka figures in scale 1:10 is one of them. Whether it is valid or not, however, you will find out in the course of this review!
The Packaging – Hunter x Hunter Review, Hisoka Figure
E once again the attention that ABYstyle Studio pays in the composition of its packages shines through. The predominant color is magenta reminiscent of the hair of the scary villain, present on all sides except on the lower and upper side. In addition to the various logos, there are sketches of Hisoka in different positions and, again, we have shiny symbols in relief. Recalling the style of the character, these symbols are obviously the suits of playing cards, namely: Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs and Spades.
In addition to the figurine, the package will include a base in black color with the Hunter × Hunter logo, on which to place the reproduction.

Being 1:10 scale, the figure reaches a height of 19.5cm which is fully compliant with the height confirmed by the author (more than 190cm). The base is installed thanks to the holes in the bottom of his shoes. If you were thinking of exhibiting this figurine without the base, know that it will not be possible as it is not perfectly balanced.
The whole model is made of plastic and we have more malleable sections, including the paper in his hand and the orange jacket, made from soft plastic. Once installed on the base, the figure is very stable also thanks to the static laying in which it is represented.

The model’s pose fully expresses the restlessness and haughtiness conveyed by the enigmatic Hisoka. The latter is wearing the clothes in which he first appears during the exam to become Hunter. The painting faithfully represents the original colors. The only section that differs slightly is the jacket on the waist, which is in ocher when it should be a faded yellow.
The clothing has some nuances in the blue sections in order to accentuate the folds. Then there are the four suits of the playing cards placed both on the chest and on the back. Hair colors range from purple to magenta, just like in her first anime appearance. The printed details are almost perfect and the expression is disturbing. As disturbing as the fact that, when viewed from the right side, the figure will appear to be staring at us.
The only defect of this statue (if we want to call it that) are the joints that join the various sections of PVC, which are slightly perceptible but do not absolutely ruin the performance.
Let’s sum it up
As we said, there are very few HxH collectibles, especially if they are cheap. This Hisoka figure produced by ABYstyle Studio is really made in an excellent way, offered at a competitive price and with more than acceptable dimensions. The pose then reveals the fact that “Hisoka has no other teacher but himself. Because he is aware of being the strongest. “
