The knife – Red9| Resident Evil 4 Remake: the best weapons to upgrade
Ok, let’s start with what actually isn’t a firearm, but is also arguably Leon’s most important equipment in all of Resident Evil 4 Remake. The knife will be your trusted companion to escape the lethal grips of the infected, as well as to parry normal attacks (to which you can then respond with a loud kick). The only flaw is that, unlike the original, the knife in the Remake has durability and is therefore subject to breakage. You can repair it at the Merchants, but there is also a way to get an indestructible one. If you shoot all the Mechanical Castellan figures within your first playthrough, you can unlock the Unbreakable Knife, an exclusive upgrade that allows the weapon to never lose durability.
Although Leon’s gun from the start in Resident Evil 4 Remake is good, it certainly doesn’t fall among the best weapons in the game. Sometimes, you need something that can destroy enemies like they’re being run over by a high-speed truck. And to do this, you can rely on the Red9, a gun that has incredible stopping power on its side and which, if properly enhanced, acquires truly devastating power. You will necessarily have to upgrade it to get the football that fans of the game know very well, but it will be definitely worth it!
CQBR carbine – Lancia Dardi | Resident Evil 4 Remake: the best weapons to upgrade
To get an idea of how the CQBR Rifle works, just think of a regular sniper rifle made fully automatic. You’ll be able to shoot just fine from a distance, although the recoil is quite difficult to control, so use that as a last resort. It must also be admitted that you will hardly find enemies capable of withstanding a volley of bullets from this carbine. The CQBR Carbine is capable of completely depleting all of your shotgun ammo in seconds, but in terms of sheer damage it’s definitely among the best options in Resident Evil 4 Remake. Perfect in case you find yourself surrounded or in a corner and you simply need to… fire!
The Spear Dardi is a welcome addition to Resident Evil 4 Remake and easily made it into our list of the best weapons because… you can recover its ammunition. Furthermore, it is excellent in case you want to play everything in stealth, as it allows you to hit the infected without being discovered and without attracting others. You will have to be precise and direct because, obviously, the Lancia Dardi is definitely not the most powerful weapon in the game in terms of mere damage. If you land your shots well, however, you will see how and how much this weapon is actually useful. And remember to collect the darts!
Rocket Launcher – LE 5| Resident Evil 4 Remake: the best weapons to upgrade
What exactly to say about the Rocket Launcher that you can’t already guess? For those less accustomed to the Resident Evil series, it is enough to know that the rocket launcher is a “boss killer” and is therefore able, conceptually, to allow you to take down any boss with one hit (or to go directly to the second stage). Purists may turn up their noses about it, but considering how many coins it takes to buy it, it is very likely that in the first playthrough you will lose it on the way.
