Samsung announces the new Galaxy SmartTag2, which debuts October 11. An upgrade over the previous Galaxy SmartTag line, offering a host of new features to track your valuables more efficiently.

There is also the new one energy saving mode, to use the Galaxy SmartTag2 for a longer period. In power saving mode, the tag’s battery lasts up to 700 days, more than double compared to previous models. Even in normal mode, the Battery offers a life of 500 days, a 50% increase. Furthermore, they have a compact design with a large metal ring that improves the resistance of the device. You can attach accessories such as clips and key rings. It has achieved an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, allowing it to be used in harsh environments.
Privacy
Samsung explains that it has aimed to protect user privacy. The location of Galaxy SmartTag2 remains available only with your permission, and your data is encrypted to ensure security. Furthermore, the function “Unknown tag warnings” warns users about unauthorized tracking by unknown tags.
