Sapphire: a Radeon RX 7900 NITRO with vapor chamber arrives!
In a new teaser, Sapphire Technology has confirmed the return of “Vapor-X” in Radeon GPUs. This system should not be confused with the Radeon Vapor-X series of GPUs, but with the literally translated “vapour chamber” technology used by GPU Toxic, Nitro e Vapor-X, typical of the brand.
Furthermore, the teaser confirms that the GPU Radeon RX 7900 XTX e XT NITRO of Sapphire will be equipped with three 8-pin power connectors, clearly visible in the teaser video. This is also a first look at the custom card design Ships 31 with 20 VRM stages.
This quick mockup shows that the Sapphire it is not much larger than the AMD MBA project (Made by AMD). The company simply added other components and changed the feed mechanism. However, this should undoubtedly provide some additional headroom for overclocking. We will have to see then, in the battlefield when it will make the vapor chamber compared to the classic system.
The teaser video was posted at less than two weeks after the official launch of the Radeon RX 7900 series by AMD. The company will release two SKUs: 7900XTX e 7900XT, both mentioned by Sapphire in her tweet. Early rumors claimed that custom cards could appear a little later than AMD’s reference design, but teasers like this one could suggest otherwise.
