Scream 6 presents itself with a brand new trailer: a look at the new chapter of the saga to be released on March 9 at the cinema
Il March 9, 2023 is the date of the cinema release of Scream 6, the great return of one of the most famous killers of the big screen. After the success of the fifth chapter which partially rebooted the plot of the entire saga, we will now find Jenna Ortega, Melissa Barrera and the protagonists of Scream grappling with a new threat from Ghostface. Pending the film’s theatrical release, Paramount Pictures has released a new trailer for the film, where we see a new Ghostface targeting the survivors of the Woodsboro massacre, this time in the picturesque setting of New York. As mentioned, in the film we find the two young protagonists mentioned above, together with them, Courteney Cox, Hayden Panettiere, Mason Gooding, Samara Weaving and Jasmine Savoy Brown. The film will therefore be released on March 9, 2023, following the new one trailer of Scream 6 released by Paramount Pictures:
Scream 6 and the trailer: the difference with the other films
From the vision of the trailer and the first images relating to Scream 6, we immediately notice a big difference with the previous chapters of the saga: Ghostface wears a ruined mask. It’s not a small detail and it immediately caught the attention of the spectators, who wondered the reason for this choice. The response from the directors promptly arrived, explaining that the ruined mask is a conscious choice and has to do with the nature of the killer. In short, a first clue which, however, rightly cannot say much, given that this detail of the mask will be linked to the new incarnation of Ghostface that we will see in Scream 6.
Among the novelties of this new chapter of the saga there is also the setting new Yorker, which sets the story in a metropolis, thus changing its prerogatives. It will therefore be very interesting to witness this new version of Ghostface and also the new setting which, inevitably, will change certain dynamics of the previous chapters of the saga.
