Scuderia AlphaTauri and Catawiki, Europe’s leader in special objects, are pleased to announce a unique partnership to offer all fans the opportunity to own a piece of Formula 1 history
One will be held throughout the year series of five online auctions, accessible to allwith over 300 collectibles carefully selected by Catawiki’s motorsport experts. Such items come from past and present seasons of the F1 team, as well as those from the Scuderia Toro Rosso and of Scuderia AlphaTauri.
Items up for auction will include a variety of auto parts – wheel nuts, flaps, front and rear fenders – drivers’ racing kits, pit crew helmets and overalls, as well as mock-ups and actual race cars, who took part in the Formula 1 World Championship.
Through these auctions, Scuderia AlphaTauri and Catawiki intend to bring the exclusive charm of Formula 1 to all his fans. Scuderia AlphaTauri has for a long time been the training ground of some of the most famous F1 drivers, thus representing a gateway to this world. With over 75,000 items up for auction each week and millions of buyers from around the world, Catawiki is the perfect partner to find lucky new owners of these incredible items.
The rapid growth and popularity of Formula 1 goes hand in hand with the growth of the collectibles market. Demand for sports memorabilia has more than doubled globally on Catawiki since 2019.
When it comes to motorsport memorabilia, Italian sellers have sold over 16 times more than they did 4 years ago, thanks to the spectacle brought by F1 to the homes of more and more people.
The STR11 is the highlight of the the first one online; the same car that raced in the 2016 season, when Scuderia Toro Rosso scored 63 points thanks to the successes of its drivers Max Verstappen, Carlos Sainz and Daniil Kvyat. The bull painted by Jos Pirkner on the bonnet was the first of its kind seen on any F1 livery, giving the car an artistic and dynamic look.
The big auction and the union between Catawiki and AlphaTaauri
Fans of Scuderia AlphaTauri’s two current drivers, Yuki Tsunoda and Nyck de Vries, and former drivers like Sebastian Vettel, Pierre Gasly, Daniel Ricciardo and Carlos Sainz will also be thrilled. Their pilot kit, autographed and not, they are for sale, together with theequipment worn by Verstappen in 2016.
The first online auction is now open to bidding on Catawiki. Upcoming auctions will be held in August, September, November and December this year and fans can expect both online auctions and physical events. The Catawiki logo will be visible on the external Halo of Yuki and Nyck’s AT04s for the Austrian and Dutch Grands Prix.

The first 70 pieces are already up for auction and enthusiasts will be able to bid until July 12, 2023. Part of the proceeds from the first auction will be donated to the relief operation managed by the Municipality of Faenza to support those affected by the floods of May this year. A portion of the proceeds from subsequent auctions will be donated to the Wings for Life non-profit foundation, dedicated to spinal cord injury research.
