In a decidedly cryptic post on Twitter, Sega revealed that a major streaming event will be held next week. The appointment was set for Friday 3 June at 13:00 (Italian time). According to the various rumors on the net (and what can be seen from the mysterious tweet, the event could be related to the launch of a new hardware device.

In the post in Japanese it reads: “Urgent Notice! The live broadcast to announce Sega’s new project will be broadcast from 20:00 on 3 June (Friday) ”. Accompanied by the tweet is an image of a dessert that vaguely resembles the controller of the iconic Sega Mega Drive. A very appetizing controller, however.
The time indicated obviously refers to the Japanese time zone, in Italy it will be 13:00 on the same day. Hiroyuki Miyazaki and Yosuke Okunari are also mentioned in the announcement, suggesting that both will appear during the livestream. Both are longtime Sega employees, having worked with the Japanese company since the mid 1990s.
Meanwhile, on the web rumors and rumors about the announcement in question are chasing. One of the most interesting hypotheses comes from the British portal NME, according to which the event will announce a new mini version of the Sega Mega Drive. However, for now, these are mere speculations.
