During a live streaming event SEGA unveiled its new mini console SEGA Mega Drive Mini 2, with as many as 50 Mega Drive and Mega CD video games. This is eight more titles than the 42 of the first Mega Drivi Mini. The console will officially come out on October 27 in Japanwe can therefore imagine a release in Europe by the end of the year or at the beginning of 2023. These assumptions are based on the fact that the first SEGA Mega Drive Mini console was also released a few weeks after the Asian launch.
The announced price for the Japanese market is ¥ 9,980 (just under 70€), although there is no information regarding the cost of the console in Europe. It includes eight more games than the 42 that came with the original Mega Drive Mini.

- Fantasy Zone (a new port of Mega Drive, the original was never released on the system)
