After the successful global launch, Sonic Frontiers is preparing for the new year by announcing its plans for the future. SEGA has in fact announced the 2023 roadmap and the publication, just this month, of a free package in collaboration with Monster Hunter.
In all, there are three updates scheduled for 2023, introducing several new features into the game. All updates will be free for those who already own the title.
Sonic Frontiers: What we know about the three new updates
As you can see from the infographic below, the first of the three updates will introduce:
- A Jukebox feature
- Una Photo Mode
- New Challenge Modes
The second update provides instead:
- Sonic’s Birthday Celebration (Happy Birthday, Sonic!)
- A new Open Zone challenge
- New Koco
The third and final update, which promises to be the biggest of all, will include instead new playable characters and an untold story.
Details on the exact release dates will be revealed at a later date.
Before concluding the year, however, there is one thing to do: wait for the December 21stwhen the Holiday Dress DLCwhich includes a new costume for Sonic and which will bring a festive atmosphere to the Starfall Islands.
