The Sennheiser company presented its new Momentum 4 wireless headphones with “Pure ANC” and they are now ready to launch
After launching the Momentum True Wireless 3 earphones, Sennheiser (click here for more info on the company) is about to release a new set of wireless headphones that takes the name of Momentum 4 Wireless. The new headphones will face models from the likes of Sony’s WH-1000XM5 and Bose’s QuietComfort 700 models. But it would seem, from the first details, that Sennheiser could be the winner of these “clashes”. The Momentum 4 Wireless design could be described as one more refined version of what Sony has done with the WH-1000XM5. But with a wider and apparently much more metal headband. The headphones come with a travel case with dedicated space for all cables as well as a travel adapter.
Technical specifications of the new Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless
As for the specs, it appears that Sennheiser has chosen a chipset Qualcomm, as the Momentum 4 Wireless supports aptX and aptX Adaptive, as well as SBC and AAC codecs. It is said that Bluetooth 5.2 is supported, but it appears that Bluetooth LE audio may be missing. The headphones still have a jack da 3,5 mmfor when the battery life of 60 ore is not sufficient. Charging takes place via USB-C, but it’s unclear whether this can also be used for audio or not. Sennheiser switched to the touch controlswhich was missing from the Momentum 3 headphones. Of course also ANC is part of the package and Sennheiser has implemented what the company calls adaptive noise cancellation and there’s a transparency mode as well.There’s also a four-microphone array, which Sennheiser says offers crystal clear voice calls. Other features include automatic pause and power on / off when the headphones are not in use.
Availability and price
The Momentum 4 Wireless is expected to be available in both black and white color options, but it looks like the new design is not foldable, just like the new competition headphones. No word on pricing, but the Momentum 4 Wireless is expected to launch later this month.
