The TV series is set in 17th centuryin 1600. It will tell the story of an English sailor named John Blackthorne. The sailor will suddenly find himself in a land completely different from his own, with a tradition that differs greatly from the British one and will find himself in the middle of a civil war. At the head of the two fronts of the war there is Lord Yoshii Toranaga, who will fight against his many rivals. There will be an intermediary between Lord Yoshii Toranaga and John Blackthorne Lady Toda Mariko, a woman of extraordinary abilities who hides big secrets about her family ties. In the cast we find Cosmo Jarvis as the protagonist, as well as Hiroyuki Sanada ed Anna Sawai. The series will be available exclusively on Disney+ for us Italians.
