The release date of the film has not yet been announced, but in April, Chris Melandri of Illumination had spoken of Shrek 5revealing that this film would serve as a relaunch for the saga, thus making it a soft-reboot. He also specified that the main cast will return, so Mike Myers will be voicing Shrek again, the only thing to be seen is who will dub the ogre in Italian, given that the well-known Italian voice actor Renato Cecchetto, the Italian voice of Shrek, sadly left us on January 23, 2022.
