Silence has already become the reference point for urban electric scooters and has chosen the Barcelona Motor Show to present the simpler version of its S01 which adds the word Basic to differentiate it from the other models in the range. With this model, it has an expected cost 5.100 euro Silence intends to compete directly in the conventional petrol scooter segment.
The Silence S01 Basic can be driven with a moped license and focuses on purely urban users, who are willing to give up some elements of the Connected version, but without losing the most distinctive features of the Silence S01: removable trolley-type battery, high wheel, large load capacity, motor integrated in the rear wheel and a saying. The innovations introduced by Silence for the Basic model include a 4.1 kWh battery, which, as mentioned, maintains the famous removable trolley type system, unique on the market and patented by the Spanish manufacturer, which allows it to be recharged from any domestic socket.
Silence 01 Basic, 100 kilometers of city trips
Thanks to the large battery capacity it has been approved a range of 100 km. The Silence S01 Basic has two types of ECO / CITY driving (the Connected model, adds the Sport version), and does not have the connectivity that allows the use of the My Silence APP as standard.
Acceleration is nevertheless brilliant and allows you to reach 50 km / h, the maximum speed in urban driving, in just 5.9 seconds, all thanks to a 5 kW maximum power engine. Note that this version will only be available in white.
But the novelties of Silence are not limited to the Basic model. In fact, the Spanish manufacturer will present the new Silence 01 on 20 October Plus that will become the new top of the range with details and technical features that no model currently in the price list can offer. There is talk, among other things, of a saddle covered in Alcantara, but undoubtedly the most interesting novelty concerns the performance, which Silence has compared to a 300 cc scooter., so much so that he stated that the Plus can reach 50 km / h in just 2.2 seconds. Further features and, above all, the price will be revealed on the day of the launch.
