One month after its release in Italian cinemas, Plaion Pictures unveils the Italian trailer for Silent Night, the eagerly awaited action movie from the producers of John Wick and directed by the legendary master John Woo. With his unmistakable style, John Woo returns to Hollywood after cults like Face/Off, Codename: Broken Arrow and Mission: Impossible IIcreating an adrenaline-fueled revenge movie in which action literally speaks louder than words.

The trailer, which you can find above and which follows the one from the beginning of the month, opens on the iconic Christmas notes of Carol of the Bells, which soon explode into a rousing variation of the Ode to Joy. A musical explosion that goes hand in hand with the breathtaking scenesin which special effects, shootouts and thrilling chases reign supreme in a story with a syncopated rhythm, anticipating a unique and unmissable cinematic experience, to be fully enjoyed on the big screen.
Inspired by the masterpieces and recent successes of the genre, Silent Night takes action to new levels, thanks to the brilliant staging of its director, who once again returns to challenge himself and the audience after having revolutionized action cinema thanks to his unforgettable Hong Kong works such as A Better Tomorrow and The Killer, which influenced generations of filmmakers, including Quentin Tarantino. The intense protagonist of this 100% action film is Joel Kinnaman.
Already appreciated in well-known action films such as Robocop (2014) and in the role of Rick Flag in Suicide Squad and The Suicide Squad – Suicide Mission, Kinnaman is the voiceless face protagonist of this ruthless revenge story set on Christmas night, anything but calm and who will turn red to complete the terrible punitive mission of a tormented father who has had his most precious gift taken away – his own son – forever changing his life and that of his family. Also in the cast are Scott Mescudi, aka Kid Cudi (X – A Sexy Horror Story), and Catalina Sandino Moreno (Maria Full of Grace).
The synopsis of the film is as follows:
Still mourning the death of his young son, who was killed in the crossfire of a gang clash on Christmas Day, the father decides to kill the culprits on Christmas Eve of the following year. Injured himself during the pursuit of the assassins and now mute, the man delves into the criminal slums to carry out his silent revenge by any means towards those who took his son from him.
