If you fondly remember the Sly Cooper saga, you will be pleased to know that an alleged new title in the series could arrive on PS5
Of the three big Sony first-party franchises that dominated the gaming landscape during the PS2 era (Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank and Sly Cooper), Insomniac’s Ratchet and Clank is the only one that’s still going strong. With regard to Sly Cooper, Sucker Punch has moved on to significantly more ambitious (and arguably better) productions in the years since, with Ghost of Tsushima of 2020 in particular which represents the beginning of a new chapter for the study, but the sneaky raccoon could prepare for a return, perhaps right on PS5, or at least so it would seem based on the latest noisy rumors of the videogame behind the scenes. Let’s see all the details about it in the next lines of this article.
Sly Cooper: new game for PS5? So it might be, but the development study is still a mystery
Nick Baker, co-founder of Xbox Era (which has had an extremely solid past of reliable leaks, including a series of PlayStation-related revelations), recently used his Twitter profile to claim that a new game of Sly Cooper is really in the works (and maybe for PS5). It is, in truth, a rumor that had already been previously reported by Baker himself. According to the latter’s words, the project is under development but it is studio to which he was entrusted the same still represents a great one incognita.
Hey Sly fans. I guess some good news? My “normal” Sony source (was originally told by a newer source) just confirmed to me that Sly is indeed coming back. That’s it. That’s all. Just an update since many of you still DM me to this day.

Sly Cooper’s latest game dates back to 2013, we refer to Thieves in Time, which is the title that was developed by Sanzaru Games, and not from Sucker Punch. Of course, this rumor we told you about has not yet verified, so for now it’s best to take it with a nice pair of pliers reinforced. Either way, there is no shortage of PS2-era nostalgic gamers who would love to see a new game in the historic platforming saga in the relatively near future. With regard to Sony, it seems that the giant is definitely interested in getting its IPs on the mobile market. The first of these will be WipEout, with the title Android and iOS WipEout Rush, more details about it here.
