Snapchat continues on its path of increasing opportunities and content for its users. After the announcement made last May, Snapchat launched the Layers on Wednesday 17 November 2021, which mark the evolution of the Snap Map from a product to a real platform.
Snapchat: Memories ed Explore
The first step will be to introduce two proprietary Snap experiences: Memories and Explore.
- Memories – As the end of the year approaches, it will be possible to put Snapchatters’ memories on their Snap Map. In this way, Snap users will be able to retrace the most beautiful moments, positioned on the map in the places where they actually took place (note: in this Layer only their own memories will be shown, it will not be possible to view those of their friends on their Snap Map ).
- Explore – This feature extends our heat map by introducing a new element on the Snap Map. Our community members can use Explore to easily discover unknown places through photos and videos posted by Snapchatters around the world.
In this first phase, Snapchatters will be able to jump from layer to layer to customize the landscape, so they can see exactly what they are looking for, whether they want to relive past moments or just look around.
