Sony TA-AN1000 - 360 Spatial Sound Mapping

Sony announces TA-AN1000, the super-amplifier for Home Theater and more

Sony announced on April 26th the launch of the TA-AN1000, the highly anticipated 7.2-channel 8K AV amplifier equipped with 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology, to maximize immersion in audio-video content.

The amplifier is compatible with current state-of-the-art video formats, including 8K and 4K120.

360 Spatial Sound Mapping: il cinema a casa

Sony’s 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology, integrated in the TA-AN1000, is able to create several “ghost” speakers in the room to widen the sound diffusion, just like inside a movie theater.

The location data detected by the system Digital Cinema Auto Calibration IX (DCAC IX) by Sony, allow you to generate speakers at any point, to be able to perceive breaths, steps and words just as if you were inside the scene. DCAC IX corrects distance, angle, sound pressure and frequency response of each single speaker, analyzing its position in 3D through the special microphone supplied. Combined with Auto Phase MatchingThat align instead the phases of the speakers, it manages to manage even the most difficult to place speakers, delays or phase shifts, blurring the boundary between screen and living room.
