The writer and producer of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse explained how to fix the audio problem that many have noticed in the film
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was a huge success with audiences and critics, with a debut that even beat that of Super Mario, today’s blockbuster. Yet many viewers, watching the film at the cinema, have encountered a small problem in the audio, so “dirty” that in some moments it prevents us from distinguishing the words of the characters. Fortunately, the creative team is aware of the issue and has sent emails directives to projectionists around the world to ensure a better sound mix. Friends of the Spider-Verse! If you go to the cinema and want to carry out an entertaining mission, ask them to check that the volume in the theater is set to 7. If it sounds a little low, ask them to turn it up a bit, up to 7.5. And if they criticize you…well, say we assure you. 7 is the standard we mix by. 7.5 could be better on a full house, maybe: it’s very dynamic and comfortable, so you can play it quite loud.
How to fix Spider-Man: Across the Spider Verse sound issue
Directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson, the film is the sequel to the 2018 film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and tells a surprising new adventure by Miles Morales (with the Italian dubbing of Thomas of Giacono) e Gwen Stacy (Roisin Nicosia). Rotten Tomatoes rated this second installment with a whopping 95% scoreensuring the freshness of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. The film is in all Italian theaters from 2 June 2023.
