With an announcement that came during the Tokyo Game Show livestream, Square Enix Ltd. confirmed the release of the game. Stranger Of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin will be released on March 18, 2022 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC (via Epic Games Store). The new action JRPG was developed by Team NINJA of KOEI TECMO GAMES (NINJA GAIDEN and Nioh series). All in collaboration with Tetsuya Nomura (FINAL FANTASY VII, KINGDOM HEARTS). The game represents a great new horizon for the FINAL FANTASY series dedicated to both longtime fans and new players.

Stranger Of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin mixes strategic action gameplay with the world and story of the FINAL FANTASY series. All this results in a single JRPG action. Follow Jack and his allies as they open the doors of the Temple of Chaos and enter a dark fantasy world with thrilling battles to find out if they really are the Warriors of Light foretold by prophecy.
Square Enix also announced the release of Trial Version 2 on PS5 and Xbox Series X | S. This is an expansion of the first trial version of the game released in June. You can explore a new level of the game, the Warped Reserve, along with a new ally, try out new fighting styles with the addition of various classes, and face a host of new enemies. This is also the first opportunity to try out the multiplayer mode.
Availability and compatibility of editions
The game will be available as a physical and digital Standard Edition on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One. Expected a digital-only Standard edition available on PC via the Epic Games Store.

Those who purchase STRANGER OF PARADISE FINAL FANTASY ORIGIN for PlayStation4 will be able to download a free update for PS5 that includes new generation graphics and various enhancements at no additional cost to play on PS5. Xbox customers who purchase physical or digital versions of the game will be able to take advantage of Smart Delivery support, meaning they will be able to play their editions on any Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S console. The system will automatically select the optimal version for the game depending on the console being used.
Those who pre-order the Digital Standard Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition of STRANGER OF PARADISE FINAL FANTASY ORIGIN will receive 72-hour early access to the full game, Lionheart (Weapon) and Shield of Light (Protection) in-game items and an original theme for PS4.
