Owners of a Suzuki motorcycle or fans of the Japanese brand will certainly want to grab an extremely limited edition Suzuki 100th Anniversary helmet that the Hamamatsu company is about to release. Based on the full-face Arai RX-7, this helmet is limited to only 100 pieces which will be on sale worldwide. Of these, 30 will be sold exclusively by lottery in Japan, according to a very specific process.
Japanese riders will be able to enter the draw via the Suzuki Japan website. For all other enthusiasts, the best way to get hold of this iconic helmet is to contact your local Suzuki office to find out what information they have on availability for your country. And if you are thinking of taking part in the draw of the 30 helmets destined for Japan even if you live in Italy, dPlease note that Suzuki Japan will not ship the helmets it has designated for the Japanese market outside the country, therefore groped to participate in this lottery from Italy is practically useless
But if you have a friend who is in Japan, here’s how the lottery works: 10 helmets each in sizes M, L and XL will be available within the country. There is an application form to participate in the lottery to be filled out, from which the lucky ones who have the opportunity will be drawn to buy (not given as a gift) these helmets. Filling out the form guarantees only participation in the lottery and nothing else.
Suzuki 100th Anniversary helmet, the hunt is on
In addition to living in Japan, other requirements must be met to participate in the draw. First, you must have a credit card accepted by Suzuki. If a minor is participating, he must have the consent of a parent or guardian. Only one application per person is accepted and multiple applications from any person will be discarded (although the first will be kept). The lottery registration period in Japan will run from 11 January 2022 to 25 January 2022. 31 January 2022 the winners will be announced and will be notified via the e-mail address indicated in the application.
Before you let a friend living in Japan participate in the lottery, it is good to know that the suggested retail price for this helmet is 143,000 yen, which at the current exchange rate is just over 1,100 euros. The price of the “commercial” Arai RX-7V is around 900 euros. However, it is not clear what the recommended price for this helmet will be in other markets where it will be made available. The same goes for the countries where the remaining 70 helmets can be purchased directly, or perhaps as happens in Japan, by participating in a nice lottery.
