A new update for Tales of Arise is available today that allows the transfer of saves to PS5 and Xbox Series X
A new update from Tales of Arise allows players to transfer their own progress from the latest to the next generation consoles. Earlier today, Tuesday 14 December, the latest update of the highly acclaimed Bandai Namco title was released on all platforms. As you can see from the tweet below, one of the main functions of the new update is to allow PS4 and Xbox One players to transfer your save data for Tales of Arise on PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles. As you might expect, to take advantage of this new feature included in the last one update of the game you will need to manually load the save data of Tales of Arise on the PS4 and Xbox One versions. Then, once you complete the step, you can download the same data on the PS5, Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S versions of Bandai Namco’s RPG and pick up exactly where you left off.

Furthermore, the developer reveals that all trophies PlayStation acquired on the PS4 version of Tales of Arise will carry over to the version PS5, but the same cannot be said for Xbox Achievements. It is not entirely clear why this is the case, and this is not the standard with transferring saves to next-gen Xbox consoles – Destiny 2 automatically transferred Xbox Achievements when users downloaded the game to next-gen consoles. eg.
Finally, the new Tales of Arise update allows players not to see advertisements on DLC not acquired when setting up a bonfire in the game. When your party is resting at a campfire, Tales of Arise always shows players the DLC they haven’t purchased in a short menu at the bottom of the screen, urging users to shell out money for what they’re missing out on.
