Well yes, to the delight of fans around the world, the adventure of courier Sam Porter Bridges will officially have a sequel. In fact, during the ceremony of The Game Awards 2022 PlayStation and Kojima Productions officially announced Death Stranding 2. The title was shown to the world for the first time with an extended trailer, focused on the character of Fragile. In the video, which you find below, we can see Fragile engaged in fleeing from unknown enemies, and there is not even an appearance of Sam Porter, the protagonist of the original title, here however visibly older.
Following the announcement, the Kojima Productions Twitter account highlighted that the same name given to the work is a “working title” and therefore could be different in the future, thus giving the impression that the game’s release could still be distant. At the moment not much else is known about the game and its related plot, so we just have to wait to find out more information about this sequel, which will most likely arrive over the next few months.
