The Batman: a surprise new trailer for the film, titled The Bat and the Cat, focused on the relationship between Batman and Catwoman
It is a few hours ago the video, published by surprise by Warner Bros, featuring Robert Pattinson in the role of Batman and Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman. The new trailer is titled The Bat and The Cat and revolves around the relationship of love and hate between the two characters and how the woman tries to recruit him to work together against crime.
Plot and cast of The Batman
The film is set in the early years that Batman embarks on fight against crime and corruption rampant, in the city of Gotham City. The job gets complicated when a mysterious criminal starts committing merciless crimes involving the city’s elite. Our hero will then be forced to open a series of investigations, which will lead him to confront different characters, including Selina Kayle, the famous Catwoman.
The Batman is directed by Matt Reeves, former director of films such as Apes Revolution – Planet of the Apes (2014) and the subsequent The War – Planet of the Apes (2017). The protagonist Robert pattinson, in the role of Bruce Wayne e Zoë Kravitz in the role of Catwoman will be joined by Paul Dano in the role of the Riddler. Also in the cast Colin Farrel in the role of the Penguin, John Turturro in the role of the boss Carmine Falcone e Jeffrey Wright in those of Commissioner Gordon.
Robert Pattinson’s Batman
The film will be a noir, where Batman will play the role of a detective who will drag the audience into moments of action but also of emotion, appearing below a new look, in some respects even more imperfect than the comic version. It is Reeves himself who declares that he had the need to enter the character’s mind, to discover its dark sides and its psychology. Reeves also confessed that he was inspired by Kurt Cobain and to his music to make his Batman a little less macho and a little more emotional.
Pattison will be the tenth person to play Batman in a live-action. The actor confessed to having had one great connection with the character, since he was a child and that he always wanted this role.
We just have to wait for the release of the film, scheduled for March 3, 2022, to discover this new version of the iconic superhero.
