Awaiting its release in cinemas on July 14, the poster and the Italian trailer of The Forgiven, a thriller film by Universal Pictures with Ralph Fiennes and Jessica Chastian, where forgiveness has a very high cost, has arrived
Based on the novel by Lawrence Osborne, The Forgiven it presents itself as a refined and disturbing drama. The illustrious cast is the setting for a story where feelings of guilt and a decadent relationship serve as a gimmick to tell the drama. A series of events that will bring our protagonists David (Fiennes) and Jo (Jessica Chastain) to cover up their crimes, selfishly involving their friend Richard Galloway (Matt Smith).

Whirling into the Moroccan desert to attend an old friend’s lavish party, wealthy Londoners David and Jo Henninger (Ralph Fiennes and Jessica Chastain) are involved in a tragic accident with a local teenager. Arriving late at the large villa with the dissolute party raging, the couple try to cover up the incident with the collusion of the local police. But when the boy’s father arrives in search of justice, a tense culture clash erupts in which David and Jo have to deal with their fateful gesture and its shocking consequences.

The trailer shows the emotional distress that the couple is going through, along withthe contrast between the opulence of the protagonists and the rampant poverty of the local people. In the poster of the film the faces of the protagonists express disturbance, with the car hitting a local boy in the background and the Moroccan location.
Ralph Finnes and a stellar cast in the Moroccan desert
Ralph Fiennes and Jessica Chastain are the undisputed stars of this thriller. Exists interpreta David Henniger, charming and sour husband. Chaistain, fresh from Oscar as Best Actress thanks to her performance in Tammy Faye’s eyesplays the role of Jo Henninger.
At their side Matt Smith as trusted friend Galloway, who gets caught up in the thorny affair when David arrives at the party with a dead body in the back seat. Fans of Smith they will soon see him in the role of Daemon Targaryen in the next prequel from Game of Thrones of HBO, House of the Dragon.
