Disney has released a new trailer for Haunted House, horror comedy with a stellar cast, expected in cinemas from August 23, in which Winona Ryder’s look is shown for the first time
The haunted house, a dark comedy inspired by the famous Disney theme park attraction, will debut in Italian cinemas from 23 August (in the US since the 11th). For the occasion, a new trailer of the project has been released in these hours, which offers a close-up look at the extraordinary cast, in which the presence of Winona Ryder stands out.
The Haunted Mansion follows a single mother (Rosario Dawson) and her son, who move into a dream house, paid for at a bargain price. Soon, however, the two protagonists realize that the house is haunted by some bizarre ghosts, who wake up every day at midnight. To avoid being stuck in the house forever, Gabbie and her son then turn to a “dream team” of paranormal experts, whose background includes a priest, a psychic, a former paranormal investigator and a history professor. The mission, however, will prove to be more difficult than expected.

The new trailer shows the ghost hunting team in action for the first time, revealing the look of Winona Ryder (also expected in the fifth season of Stranger Things and in Beetlejuice 2) whose work is however blocked by the strikes currently underway. Next to Winona Ryder we find a stellar cast made up of Owen Wilson, Rosario Dawson, Lakeith Stainfield (star of the Atlanta series), Danny De Vito, Tiffany Hiddish, Chase Dillon, Dan Levy, Jamie Lee Curtis e Jared Leto. Directed by justin simonformer showrunner of the Star Wars Lando series, still without an official release date, based on a screenplay by Katie Dippold, the feature film will be released in the United States as PG-13 – that is, unaccompanied children under 13. About twenty years after the first project inspired by the famous attraction – with Eddie Murphy protagonist – Disney has therefore finally managed to make a remake / reboot, which remained in a productive limbo for a long time. The ghost house will be in theaters, as mentioned, from August 23rd.
