The Hunger Games: The Ballad of the Nightingale and the Serpent is the title of the prequel to the famous saga, of which the trailer and the official poster are available: let’s find out together
The Hunger Games: Ballad of the Nightingale of the sel Serpent is the title of the prequel to The Hunger Games, the trilogy which saw as the protagonist a young Jennifer Lawrence at her film debut. To find out more about this prequel, the official trailer was finally released at CinemaCon in Las Vegas as well as the poster presenting the new protagonists and the much-loved Arena.

The prequel is set 64 years before the events of the first film of the trilogy, in which the protagonist is Coriolanus Snow who, before becoming the tyrant president of Panem, is an eighteen-year-old boy who is the last hope for his endangered family lineage. He is assigned to mentor Lucy Gray Baird, a tribute from District 12, and together they begin a race against time for survival. In this trailer we can also see who all the interpreters of the various characters are and some are very well known as Viola Davis who is Dr. Gaul who is mainly interested in the Arena experiment and also Peter Dinklage who is known for starring in Game of Thrones which here is Casca Highbottom, inventor of the Hunger Games. The two protagonists are Tom Blyth and Rachel Zegler.

The trailer promises well, because it seems very faithful to the original novel and also presents a new version of the fights in the arena, less impactful than that of the trilogy, but more experimental which certainly increases curiosity. As the official poster suggests, the film is scheduled for release on November 17, 2023 and we can say that we can’t wait to see it at the cinema.
