After years of inactivity, Tom Walkingshaw Racing has decided to get back into action, surprising us with some great news. In fact, it will return Jaguar XJSthis time in format restomod. This is a heavily modified version made much more powerful, with a V12 engine with over 600 HP and a killer body kit. This restomod version is another of the various restylings of the Jaguars which joins the others to make the artistic catalogue, if we want to call it, of the company even wider. This Jaguar XJS brings back the 80s lines and adds quite a bit of modern technology and design. This version takes inspiration from the XJR-9, the XJR-15 and the XJ220. Lending a helping hand to the team was car collector and stylist Magnus Walker, who revamped the car's design and added his personal touch together with lead designer Khyzyl Saleem.
The Jaguar XJS restomod represents 80s charm in modern style
The grand touring body of this car is made in carbon fiber. It has a massive splitter that dominates the new lower fascia and the hood features a central area and louvers. At the rear we then find a duck tail spoiler and a diffuser that took from racing car. Finally there are the side exhaust pipes that complete the look. The most important element of this Jaguar, however, is the V12 engine. It is not clear whether they used the original 5.3 liters or if they installed a more recent engine, nor the exact number of horsepower delivered. We only know that the 12-cylinder is equipped with a supercharger and is combined with a six-speed manual gearbox. They will then reveal more information about the interior over the course of the year. They will produce it only 88 models and at the price of 225.00o sterline.
