Remembering the mustachioed fun, Naughty Dog reassures us in a moment: the development of The Last of Us multiplayer has not stopped
We had completely forgotten (and we know you will understand why) about the much talked about thing multiplayer dedicated to The Last of Usma Naughty Dog confirmed to us the continuation of his development in a quite… transversal way. Following the acquisition of Bungie (to each their own), Sony has also scaled back the project of its trusty “dog”. In his latest report, Bloomberg talks about a reduction in staff working on the game due to Bungie’s feedback on the matter. To what do we owe this glimmer of light, then? To a tweet from the director Vinit Agarwal otherwise unrelated, dedicated to 100% completion of Super Mario Bros. Wonder. “I’ve done it! Wow, that was tough, over 300 dead Marios to get there.” Hats off to good taste.
I did it! Wow that was hard, easily 300+ Marios dead in the process.
And so this tweet can live on in peace… yes, I’m still working on that game. pic.twitter.com/a5Avx9Xl8H

The development of The Last of Us multiplayer continues: word from Naughty Dog
We appreciate the irony of such a confirmation from a tweet for a title contrary to Neil Druckmann’s school of thought (“We don’t use ‘funny’ as a term,” he said of the then upcoming The Last of Us: Part II confirming the vocation extravideogame), but it is the second part of the post the most salient point. “So that the tweet can live in peace… yes, I’m still working on that game.” The reality illustrated by Bloomberg is a little different, as “Bungie has raised some questions about long-term fan engagement,” which has led to some staff being redeployed to other projects. Naughty Dog later officially stated that the project would require more time.
