We find his alter ego grappling with a story that once again mixes together personal experiences and universal considerationsthis time perhaps more on the political and social slant.
This World Won’t Make Me Bad: trailer and release date
At the heart of This World Won’t Make Me Bad is the return of Cesare, a friend he hasn’t seen for several years and whose reappearance is linked to some events that are shaking the neighborhood where Zerocalcare lives and his historic friends Sarah and Secco. Cesare struggles to recognize the world in which he grew up and the cartoonist would like to do something for him, except realizing that he is unable to help him feel at home again and make the right choice to find his place in the world. Of course, the presence of the Armadillo is inevitable, personification of his conscience from the voice of Valerio Mastandrea.
The title of the show represents a sort of mantra, a phrase that Zerocalcare himself repeats, almost to convince himself, in those moments in life when one feels annihilated, in which it would be easier to make wrong choices in order to get out of trouble . As usual, these are topics told in the first person but that everyone, with their own experiences, can hear about them. The six episodes of This World Won’t Make Me Bad will arrive on June 9, 2023 solo are Netflix.
