To boost your battery in Tears of The Kingdom you will first need to accumulate enough Zonau Energy Crystals. These resources are obtained from refining Zonanium ores and for increasing battery power you will need at least 100. To transform Zonanium into crystals, just find a refiner robot and fortunately you can meet one very early in your adventure.
In fact, the first refiner Golem of the game is found on the Celestial Island of Origins, in the mining cave located to the south. Once you reach this NPC, you will finally get the chance to convert the Zonanium you have accumulated into very useful Zonau Energy Crystals.
Cell Generators – Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom, how to upgrade the battery
Once you have accumulated at least 100 Zonau Energy Crystals you will need to head to a Cell Generator. In these places you will find a NPC robot which will be able to transform your crystals into energy cells suitable for boosting your battery. In the game world there are several such generators, and fortunately two of them will be very easy to find in the first hours of the game.
The first Cell Generator you’ll come across is situated on the Sky Origin Island, right next to the Nakon Jah Shrine. However, if you have already reached the mainland, then you can easily find a much more comfortable place to upgrade your battery. Right away north of the Guardia Fort indeed you will find a large piece of ruins dropped from the sky and above it is a fully functional Generate of Cells!
