Important news is arriving for the world of motors, in particular from Fiat, which has decided to change the name of the new Fiat Panda to Pandina, marking a change for the company
One of the most important Italian automotive companies in the world, FIAT, has contributed a huge change in the company. In particular he decided to change the name of the new Fiat Panda and decided to call it Pandina. But the surprises don’t end here, among the innovations of the new Fiat Panda model, there will be big changes also and above all on the technological side. These changes will allow the company to produce the new Panda model until 2026, when production of the new model at the plant in Pomigliano D’Arco and that will allow him to have a long life. The engine should not change and therefore under the hood we will probably still find the 70 HP 1.0 Hybrid engine. The reason why the company decided to change the name to Pandina is to differentiate it from another new FIAT with larger dimensions and which is supposed to be an SUV.
What to expect from the new Fiat Panda
If this new Pandina will be simply an advanced model of the current Fiat Panda, the new Panda (or Pandona for some), will be completely different. Larger than the current model, it will have a length of approx 4 meterswill rest on the platform Smart Car from the Stellantis Group, the same one used for the new Citroen e-C3. The new Panda has a kinship with the French model, so considering this, it will probably have the same one powertrain. So, it’s possible that we will find a 83 kW electric motor (113 HP) powered by a battery with 44 kWh LFP (lithium-iron-phosphate) cells, for an autonomy that should be greater than 300 km. It is still too early to talk about prices, but looking at the prices of the e-C3 it is possible that the new Panda could start from just over 20 thousand euros. Furthermore, they have also confirmed the endothermic versions, which they will launch at a later date.
