The new FRITZ! Box 4060 router represents the current best solution for those who have a modem connection for Fiber (especially FTTH) and guarantees performance, functions and speeds that meet the needs of small business and high-end gaming users.

Wi-Fi 6 is the most modern and fastest Wi-Fi standard, capable of speeds up to 40% faster than previous Wi-Fi generations. With the high speed Wi-Fi of the FRITZ!Box 4060 navigation and streaming travel in the fast lane. The highlight: Even though many devices are active simultaneously, the data rates remain high for each individual device. FRITZ! Box 4060 obviously supports established standards such as Wi-Fi 5 and 4, which ensure compatibility with all devices.

The 2.5 Gbit / s WAN port guarantees a very fast Internet connection, for example, with a fiber optic modem. When configured as an IP client, the WAN port can be used as an additional 2.5 Gbit / s LAN port. Thanks to the three doors Gigabit Ethernet, computers or network-compatible devices can be integrated into the local network at Gigabit speeds. In addition, the FRITZ! Box 4060 includes: a VoIP telephone system and a NAS with the option of fast USB 3.0 connection even to an external NAS.

The FRITZ! Box 4060 has three Wi-Fi frequency bands (1 to 2.4 GHz and 2 to 5 GHz) in accordance with IEEE 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6). All frequency bands transmit simultaneously and are backward compatible with IEEE 802.11a / g / n / ac. Also DESPITE multi-user (MU-MIMO) is supported according to 802.11ac. The FRITZ! Up to six DECT mobile phones can be connected to the VoIP PBX of the FRITZ! Box 4060. Depending on the respective interfaces, up to five calls can be made at the same time. All relevant telephony functions are available for DECT telephones. HD telephony is made possible by the use of broadband voice codecs. The integrated DECT base station supports the GAP standard and allows the connection of smart home devices. With the “Connect” button, the FRITZ! Box 4060 supports the automatic registration (pairing) of a new mobile device, wireless devices and the integration of PLC devices into the local network with the Wi-Fi Mesh function.

Versatile multimedia functions

In addition to the factory built-in flash memory, the FRITZ! Box 4060 has an integrated USB 3.0 port to which printers and storage devices can be connected directly. Multimedia contents such as pictures, photos, music and videos can be made available to compatible playback devices within the local network using the built-in NAS functionality according to the UPnP AV standard. USB memories can be accessed in the local network using standard network protocols (FTP / SMB). Furthermore, it is possible to integrate online memories (WebDAV).

Even during the first installation, the FRITZ! Box 4060 ensures that all Wi-Fi connections are established by encryption with a customized network key. In conjunction with the FRITZ! WLAN Stick, the required Wi-Fi security settings are automatically transferred to the client via the “AVM Stick & Surf”. The user interface is also protected from the factory by an individual password. Color-coded cables and sockets, short clear instructions and interactive commissioning (including Wi-Fi network setup) make setup much easier. Management is done with a clear web front-end or via phone button input.
