One Piece Film: Red will be presented in national preview at Lucca Comics & Games in the presence of special guests
The return of one of the most anticipated events in Italy is getting closer and closer: the Lucca Comics & Games. Among the most anticipated events of this new edition there is certainly the presentation of One Piece Film: Red, new film taken from the famous manga by Eiichiro Oda, expected in Lucca on October 29th. The announcement came from Anime Factory, a label belonging to Plaion Pictures, ready to stage the new film directed by Goro Taniguchi and produced by TOEI Animation.

The film, therefore, will be presented in national preview at the great event in Lucca. The vision of the film will be accompanied by the presence of the director Goro Taniguchi and the Director of Animation and Character Designer Masayuki Sato. To attend the screening of the feature film, it is necessary to purchase tickets for admission to Lucca Comics & Games 2022, on sale starting from September 1st.
The national preview screening of One Piece Film: Red is part of a broad program set up by TOEI Animation Europe, with a series of initiatives that will be staged from 28 October to 1 November 2022 and which will mark the largest event ever made in Italy in One Piece theme. This event is part of the celebration of 25 years old of the manga, which with the new film is ready to live another chapter of its existence. The film sees the return to the big screen of Luffy and the Straw Hat crew, with a deep involvement of the author Eiichiro Oda, producer of the film that has already achieved great results at the global box office.
In fact, the film has become the most profitable ever in the franchise in Japan, grossing more than 86 million euros and scoring the second best debut in the history of Japanese cinema, as well as the best anime grossing of 2022. The film has also started to make its rounds in Europe, achieving good results in France and will soon land in Italy as well.
The plot of the movie
One Piece Film: Red has a strong musical component, enriched by the precious interpretation of the Japanese star Ado. Among the many innovations introduced by the feature film there is also the long-awaited return of Shanks the Redone of the four emperors and the pirate who pushed Luffy to become a pirate.
Among the new characters there is Uta, daughter of Shanks. The girl is the most beloved singer in the world, with a voice defined as “otherworldly. In a concert Uta decides for the first time to reveal her face to the world and this revelation attracts an important number of her fans. When the concert begins, however, a secret of Uta’s voice is revealed that could change the world, a danger that will lead Luffy and Shanks to step into action and engage in a deep battle for freedom.
