A hyper-realistic cake of the much loved and iconic Nokia 3310 was created to celebrate the fifth birthday of HMD, the home of Nokia phones, the Finnish company that produces Nokia-branded phones, from cult objects like the Nokia 3310 to new, durable smartphones like the Nokia XR20, born to survive any test.
The Nokia 3310 has turned into a cake
The cake in size nonatural took 40 hours to work and was created by world famous sugar artist Michelle Wibowo. The interior is made of chocolate sponge cake and vanilla cream, while the casing of the Nokia 3310, renowned for its resistance, was made of sugar paste and each key, cut and modeled to perfection, added to the shell individually.
HMD Global relaunched the revised version of the Nokia 3310 in 2017 to the delight of fans around the world. The UI introduces a fresh look to a classic design, while retaining everything you’d expect from a Nokia phone, from long battery life and ruggedness to the legendary Snake game.
The satisfaction of the company for the important goal
“We are incredibly proud of how far we have come in the last five years”, dichiara Stephen Taylor, CMO of HMD Global. “We want to thank all customers and partners for their support and for helping us achieve every milestone to date and the next ones to come in the years to come.”
“It was a pleasure to turn such an iconic phone into a cake”, adds Michelle Wibowo. “It took a lot of testing to get it to perfection, but I’m thrilled with the result.”
