The works of Fukasawa they are exhibited in the largest contemporary art museums in the world and today, thanks to realme, we can carry a drop of his genius in our pockets. Our review of the realme GT Master Edition

We have already analyzed the performance of the realme GT in our full review and we can already spoil you that, from a technological point of view, the Master Edition is practically identical to the GT already available on the market. The Display is the same display Super AMOLED da 6,43”, produced by Samsung, which we have already seen on the Realme GT, with a 2400 x 1080 resolution it’s a adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz. Also in this case we have two versions of the smartphone with two different memories: we have the version from 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory, and a version from 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory. In none of these versions is it possible to expand the memory.

What changes between the realme GT and the realme GT Master Edition is instead the processor. The Master Edition indeed uses one Snapdragon 778G 5G instead of one Snapdragon 888. Although we are facing a “step back”, the realme GT Master Edition manages to perform very well any function is required in the daily use of the device at high speed. THE 120 Hz adaptive AMOLED screen they are noticeable and make the perception of the eyes on the screen pleasant. Obviously their stability varies from the use made of the device and the applications used, but the general result is more than satisfactory.

For what concern photographic sector we find some news. There rear camera remained unchanged from the previous model. In fact, we find three cameras: 1 main lens of 25mm equivalent, f / 1.8, of 64 MP, 1 wide angle of 8MP f / 2.3 and a macro lens of 2MP f / 2.4. In the Master Edition, however, the front camera is 32MP instead of 16MP. We will find out how the camera behaves, later in this review.

Design

The real big news of this model is undoubtedly the aesthetics and attention to detail. We have this model three different colors: Voyager Grey, Lunar White e Cosmos Black. The design, created by Naoto Fukasawa, is inspired by the theme of travel and although the Lunar White and Cosmos Black colors boast an impeccable style, it is the Voyager Gray version that best expresses this theme. The back of the smartphone is indeed made of vegan leather and follows the motifs and horizontal lines of an elegant suitcase. This version weighs 180g instead of 174 of the other colors, but it is a small price to pay to show the style and care that has been put into this smartphone.

The use of quality materials and the smartphone thickness (about 8mm) give a feeling of solidity for a great feel on the hands.

Our field test

We tested the realme GT Master Edition for about 2 weeks during which it replaced our usual smartphone. We can already tell you that it has fully satisfied us despite some doubts. Let’s start immediately by saying that it is 6.53 ″ Amoled screen it is perfect for both everyday use, for watching movies or for gaming, ideal for transform your smartphone into a real entertainment center. The frequency at 120hz, as anticipated, it varies depending on the use you are making and the App used, but in general the performance is very close to that of a high-end smartphone.

The technology inside is certainly not revolutionary and we find other models on the market that offer these performances but in this case, they are flanked by the peculiarities of realme and by more than interesting features. We point out, among others, the possibility of expand the RAM according to the used memory. In fact, by sacrificing a part of the internal memory you can increase the RAM by 2, 3 or 5 GB. This is especially useful when effective performance is more important than storage space. As a good member of the small GT family, the Master Edition is also equipped with the GT mode. Once activated, the performance of the mobile reaches the maximum performance constantly, obviously at the expense of the battery.

Autonomy that strikes

Staying on this issue, we tell you that the battery del realme GT Master Edition scende a 4300mAh against the 4500mAh of the realme GT. Although this is a minor capacity, the difference between the two models is practically imperceptible and we managed to arrive safely at the end of the day with a single charge. The autonomy obviously depends on the use you make of the device, but in case of unbridled use, know that even the Master Edition supports Super Dart refill of realme with a 65W charger included in the package. Thanks to this particular technology, you will be able to recharge your realme from 0 to 100 in just over half an hour.

Another peculiarity of the battery concerning the smart night charging. As we know, keeping the mobile on charge when the battery has reached 100% is harmful to the battery life cycle itself. Despite this, many of us charge our mobile phones at night, greatly increasing the number of hours it takes to recharge. Knowing this, realme has developed a particular software that, when you insert the USB socket during the night (the time slot can be selected), the smartphone will decide autonomously how much and when to charge with the certainty of having the battery at 100% the next day. . This is a simple and effective technology that will increase battery health over the years.

Camera department

Turning to the cameras, the 64MP main camera was our delight. Although, as anticipated, other smartphones have a more advanced camera sector, for the price range where the realme GT Master Edition is placed, we are at very remarkable levels. Photos can reach one maximum resolution of 9248 × 6936, more than enough for excellent quality.

Among the most interesting modes we certainly find the street mode developed together with professional street photographers. With this mode, realme has given us the possibility to take the best urban photographs to shoot quickly and reduce the interference of the algorithms for optimal results even in the most animated situations.

The 32 MP front camera it represents a nice upgrade over the “normal” GT for high quality selfies even in low light situations thanks to the night mode.

The review of the realme GT Master Edition in a nutshell

The realme GT Master Edition has maintained the high performance of the original GT version, with an efficient battery, fluidity and all the power of the Snapdragon processor combined, of course, with the now inevitable 5G connection. This Edition is not so Master in terms of difference and technical upgrades but it shows its best with its refined and very special design with “Prime” materials and designs.

The Master Edition is obviously not designed for those who already own a realme GT but for new users who have been intrigued by realme technology, it represents an excellent if not obligatory model with which to finally enter the realme family.

Prices and availability of the realme GT Master Edition

The realme GT Master Edition is available in two versions: 6GB of RAM + 128GB of memory at € 349 or 8GB in RAM+258GB in memory a 399€.
