The Rescue, the original National Geographic documentary, is coming to Disney + on December 31st

What do we know | The Rescue
The Rescue is an original National Geographic documentary chronicling one of the most incredible rescues of the modern age. the film takes us to the infamous cave and highlights the efforts of the Royal Thai Navy SEALs and the American Special Forces, detailing the daring undertaking of the expert cave divers to rescue the boys. The incident of Tham Luang dates back to 2018, during the month of June, when twelve boys between the ages of 11 and 17 and a man of 25 were stranded inside Tham Luang, a cave in Chiang Rai province, in Thailand.
The documentary analyzes the history of the rescue, through the eyes of the protagonists. The film engages viewers firsthand as it sheds light on the high-risk world of cave diving, the astonishing courage and compassion of the rescuers, and the humanity shared by the international community that came together to save the boys.
Directing the documentary we have Chai Vasarelyi and Jimmy Chin, Oscar winners in 2020 for Free Solo, who told the story of American climber Alex Honnold. The original song of the film is “Believe” interpretata da Aloe Blacc. The soundtrack is signed by the award-winning composer Daniel Pemberton.
