But you don’t have to compare it to a classic vacuum cleaner. As anticipated, the Chinese company’s latest product is actually designed for wash the floor and vacuum up any liquids. The assembly of all this takes a few minutes, after that you just have to place the charging basewhich includes a space dedicated to all the accessories in the package, including the replacement brush and filter.
The base rests on the floor so you won’t have to buy separate platforms, drill the wall or study advanced engineering solutions, not to mention that Dreame H12 can stand alone even if you place it anywhere else in the house.
To complete the picture, think about it a display LED positioned on the upper part of the central body, which allows you to immediately understand how much autonomy you have left, which mode you are using and the level of dirt detected.
Dreame H12 review: how does it work?
Dreame H12 was born to be simple and intuitive. That’s why all you have to do is turn it on.
The automatic mode in fact takes care of independently adjust the suction power based on the amount of dirt detected. You will notice the difference thanks to two elements: color and noise. Color because the edge of the LED display lights up green, orange and red based on the amount of powder or liquid it findsnoise because Dreame H12 it’s not particularly quietespecially when using maximum power.
To tell the truth this is not the only situation in which you will find it not very discreet. An activity that has not thrilled us but which is obviously necessary, even if only to avoid bad smells or the proliferation of unwanted life forms.
How does it clean?
Well, that’s the most important question after all.
Dreame H12 did not disappoint us. It works really well, gathering everything we need even when we put it to the test on the office carpet.
The brush design allows you to vacuum well along the edges, therefore without resorting to different or smaller products to be able to complete the house cleaning.
The function for aspirating liquids is also very useful, which saved us from having to use absorbent cloths, wasting a lot of time. Within seconds Dreame H12 cleared the evidence of our little milk accident.
As anticipated, you can also use this product for wash the floor, both with and without detergent. And yes, the detergent is included in the package, which is absolutely not obvious.
One tip: wait a few minutes before walking over the freshly cleaned surface. This is because Dreame H12 uses a lot of water so the floor remains damp and you risk leaving your footprints or creating bad marks. But if you wait for everything to dry, the problem does not arise.
We lose a few points on the handling front. It is true that it tends to drag you a bit, making your work easier, but it is quite heavy and changing direction is not always easy.
We conclude with autonomy that reaches a maximum of 35 minutes, that drop when full power is used. There are not many, it is true, but in line with the rest of the market.
The Dreame H12 review: conclusions
Dreame H12 is an excellent combination of dust extraction, liquid extraction and floor washing. You can then take home a single product that works well, is simple to use and guarantees excellent results.
Defects? It’s not silent, it’s a bit heavy, and the price tag is challenging.
