Coming from the Deebot X1 Turbo review, released a few weeks ago on our YouTube channel, we couldn’t help but notice the obvious similarities between the two robot vacuum cleaners. But something changes, which is why the Omni is the most expensive of Ecovacs’ Deebot X1 series products. We tell you everything in this review.
The Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni review
The design remained unchanged: Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni is the result of collaboration with the specialists of Jacob Jensen Design, with a circular mini-turret that contains all the sensors used by the technology TrueMapping 2.0 to map the house and ensure quick and efficient movements within your home.
On the front we find the bumper, which serves to mitigate any collisions with walls and furniture, and the RGB camera, combined with artificial intelligence that allows the robot to detect obstacles, people and animals.
The magnetic cover also returns, which you can lift on the fly to access the on and off button, the button that activates the pairing with the application, and the tank.
So far everything looks the same as Deebot X1 Turbo and yet, as anticipated, we have an important difference. Omni’s little brother is a 2-in-1 product, capable of both vacuuming dirt and scrubbing the floor. The big advantage over other models is its ability to manage the water flow alone. There is indeed a mini-tank to fill but two large tanks inserted in the base that allow it to self-fill, self-empty and even self-cleanwith clean water which is also used to clean the two rotating cloths.
All this also happens on the Omni that though has the advantage of automatically emptying the dust container as well. To make it possible is the All-in-one Omni Station, the emptying and recharging base which reaches its maximum level of evolution here.
You can imagine it as a two-story house with a garage.
The garage is on the ground floor and is the place where the robot vacuum cleaner rests, recharges and dries the two rotating cloths.
On the first floor we find the system that takes care of emptying the dust tank. It is semi-hidden and has no visible openings, buttons, handles or louvers. To open it you have to press the button you find on the upper wall of the garage, a bit like the trunk of a car. Inside this compartment you will find obviously the bag, which you will have to change periodically. And periodically it also means every 3-4 months, obviously based on the size of the house and the amount of dirt it has to collect.
Finally, on the second floor you always have the two water tanks, the clean one and the dirty one, which I remind you to empty to avoid bad smells and the development of wildlife.
How does it behave in the field?
Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni performs great. The level of cleanliness offered is really highaccomplices be the suction power, which comes to 5000 Pascalboth the 2-in-1 system that allows it to wash the floor as well as to remove dust, crumbs and residues of all kinds.
More it is semi-autonomous thanks to the base that takes care of filling it with water, emptying the dirty water tank and removing whatever is in the dust container.

Also promoted the navigation systemwhich avoids violent collisions with walls and furniture and, at the same time, allows Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni to recognize and avoid slippers, soft toys, clothes and much more. The only element that perhaps struggles a bit to manage are the cables so we suggest you keep them away from the floor to avoid small domestic accidents.
The Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni review: conclusions
Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni is a real top of the range. And like many top of the range it has a rather important price: 1.499 €.
Is it worth it? The investment is undoubtedly important but we are talking about a product that sucks up the dust, washes the floor, is autonomous for most of the time, can be controlled with the app, can be programmed and also has an integrated voice assistant. In addition, it also has video functionality, complete with a speaker and microphone to talk to, for example, with which it is at home while you are outside the home.
However, it is evident that it is not for everyone. First of all because it takes up space, with the base being about 60 cm high. And then why not everyone needs all these features. But if you want a excellent mix between cleaning and washingif you want to forget its presence, if you want a product that does everything in total autonomy, it is undoubtedly a good alternative.
