A new animated film by DreamWorks based on Peter Brown’s children’s best-seller of the same name is coming soon to cinemas: here is the trailer for The Wild Robot
A new animated film by DreamWorks Pictures will soon arrive in Italian cinemas: it is called The Wild Robot and brings to the big screen the illustrated children’s novel of the same name written by Peter Brown in 2016, an international best seller which later inspired two other volumes. The film was written and directed by Chris Sanders, the director of films such as Lilo & Stitch, How to Train Your Dragon, The Croods and also, going beyond animation, Call of the Wild starring Harrison Ford.
Described as “an emotional story of self-discovery, an examination of the connection between technology and nature, a moving exploration of what it means to be alive and connected to all living things,” The Wild Robot follows the journey of one robot – l unit ROZZUM 7134, abbreviated “Roz” – who, after a shipwreck, finds himself on an uninhabited island where he will have to learn to adapt to the hostile surrounding environment, gradually building relationships with the other animals on the island and adopting an orphaned goose .

In the meantime, today Universal unveiled the first, epic trailer of the film together with the official poster and the plot. The film features in the original voice cast the Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o in the role of the robot Roz, the Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Pedro Pascal in the role of the fox Fink; Emmy winner Catherine O’Hara as the opossum Pinktail; Academy Award nominee Bill Nighy as Longneck Goose; Kit Connor as Brightbill the goose and Academy Award nominee Stephanie Hsu as Vontra, a robot who will join Roz on the island. The film also features the voices of Mark Hamill, Matt Berry and Ving Rhames, already seen in Mission: Impossible and Pulp Fiction.
