The new film: The shyness of the hair was presented with enthusiasm and with excellent feedback from the public and critics in the Venetian nights section of the Giornate degli Autori. As part of the 79th Venice International Film Festival: I WONDER PICTURES, in collaboration with Unipol Biografilm Collection, are pleased to announce the release date, namely: 10 November 2022, at all Italian cinemas.
Plot and synopsis of the film: The shyness of the hair
This film tells the life of two twins – Benjamin and Joshua Israel – homozygotes looking for their place in the world. When school ends and adulthood begins, the twins of Jewish origin begin to feel oppressed. And while their friends and classmates plan a new life, they can’t imagine a future.
Being twenty years old and a natural charisma combined with a good dose of bravado is not enough if you have an intellectual disability and the world you live in does not seem to be made to welcome you in the best possible way. So feeling excluded, Benjamin and Joshua face the limits imposed by others without being afraid of bumping into them.
Joshua wants to have sex for the first time, while Benjamin pursues the utopia of a love. And even though the two brothers often conflict with each other, their bond is impossible to break. It is precisely here that the two will soon learn that growing means giving space to each other without shading.

The film is an Italy – Israel co-production, produced by Diaviva for Italy and Movieplus for Israel, which was also made with the support of MiBACT and NFCT. Of which just for the occasion, I Wonder Pictures releases the first clip capable of telling the difficult period of transition between childhood and adulthood of two adolescents with intellectual disabilities. The shyness of the hair is a film by Valentina Bertani, who has chosen the following as cast: for the twins protagonists we have: Benjamin Israel, Joshua Israel, Sergio Israel, Monica Carletti, and Michela Scaramuzza.
