Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Season 3 is out today, and will be enhanced by the Siege of Paris expansion. The latter will be available from 12 August. Here are all the details.
The new expansion of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
The new expansion of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be available from 12 August, and will be called The siege of Paris. Activate Season 3 from today, which includes exclusive rewards and activities. Among these there will also be the Sigrblot Festival, live from Thursday 29 July until 19 August.
The new adventure, as the name suggests, is set in France, where Eivor will face one of the most infamous conquest battles in Viking history. The player will have new weapons, skills and equipment at their disposal to face numerous new enemies. The new expansion also sees the return of the Black Box missions, where the player will have total freedom of choice as to how to eliminate his intended victim. The Siege of Paris will be available to all Season Pass owners or separately, at a cost of € 24.99, for owners of the main game.
The Sigrblot Festival
The summer of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be marked by the Festival of Sigrblot, a traditional Viking festival that celebrates the start of the Raiding season. This will be held from Thursday 29 July until 19 August, and will include a variety of activities. Among these we mention:
- Minigames: Rhymes Battles, Fighting Tournament and Dice Games
- Three new missions
- Exclusive rewards including camp decorations, item customization and weapons. Additionally, for a limited time, the Skrofnung One-Handed Sword can be purchased with Sigrblot tokens in the festival shop.
To participate in the Sigrblot Festival, the player must travel to England and complete one of the first story arcs (Grantebridgescire or Ledecestrescire) and reach Level 2 with their camp. A further update is expected later in the Season and will bring a new map for River Raids, with destinations along the rivers of France and Ireland.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: the soundtrack of The Siege of Paris
The release of the expansion is not limited to just the game. In fact, the soundtrack of The Siege of Paris will also be available. From this some excerpts are already available, such as Hásæti, which can be translated as Place of Honor. The piece is composed by Stephanie Economou.
With Assassin’s Creed Valhalla you will be able to take on the role of Eivor, a legendary Viking warrior who finds himself having to leave Norway, in the ninth century AD, due to the constant struggles and dwindling resources. The no-rules style of the Viking warriors is perfectly reproduced with the revamped two-weapon combat system. The gameplay includes raids, assaults, encampment and the new progression and equipment upgrade system. The choices in terms of political alliances, strategy and dialogues are also important. In fact, these can influence the course of the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla story. The player will have to make their choices very carefully.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available for Xbox Series X consoles | S, Xbox One, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store on Windows PCs, as well as on Stadia, Amazon Luna and Ubisoft’s subscription service, Ubisoft +.
