Explaining that he did not want to comment on the status of the show while it was still in development, actor Kit Harington has confirmed that he and the producers couldn't find the right story to tell.
I didn't want it to leak out that it was in development, and I didn't want people to start theorizing, getting excited or hating the idea, when it might never happen because during development you analyze every detail and try to understand if it's worth it. And we haven't gotten to that point.
Jon Snow: a spin off is not in the works at the moment
Kit Harington then went on to confirm that Production of the spin-off is unlikely to resume in the future, given that the moment is out of the question, because the production would not have been able to find the right story to tell. So he decided to leave it alone for now, so there is no green light at the moment. For now everything will therefore remain on the shelf.
