The tablet market recorded a sharp decline in Europe in the third quarter of 2021 though Apple, real lmarket leader, marks sales in clear counter-trend with its iPads. The data provided by Canalys, in fact, confirm the net slowdown in tablet sales in Europe and the success of Apple’s tablets, which continue to travel on high sales volumes also thanks to the innovations that have arrived in recent months (ninth generation of iPad and sixth of iPad Mini).

The European tablet market record a 20% drop in sales rcompared to last year during the third quarter of 2021. The data provided by Canalys, however, confirm one Apple’s net growth which records an improvement in sales of +33% in comparison with the data for the same period last year. The Cupertino-based company managed to capitalize on the new iPads launched in the third quarter.
Record market share for Apple
The tablet market in Europe sees Apple playing the role of absolute protagonist. Almost one in two tablets is, in fact, branded Apple. The company presents a 45% market share confirming itself as the absolute leader in the market. Behind Apple we find Samsung, Lenovo, Huawei and Amazon with significantly lower sales volumes.
