From today Netflix released the trailer for Spaceman. The film will be available for streaming on the platform starting March 1, 2024. It is a science fiction drama film that will have Adam Sandler as the protagonist. The film will be the adaptation of The Cosmonaut, science fiction novel by Jaroslav Kalfar. The project is directed by Johan Renk, already known for having also directed the acclaimed television series Chernobyl, while the screenplay will be written by Colby Day. In addition to the aforementioned Adam Sandler, the cast also consists of: Carey Mulligan and Paul Dano, but also Kunal Nayyar, Lena Olin and Isabella Rossellini.

Astronaut Jakub (played, as previously mentioned, by Adam Sandler) spends six months in space. All this time in orbit was because of one solo exploration mission that dragged him to the extreme corners of the universe. Jakub realizes that his marriage may no longer exist once he returns to Earth. So he he will try in every way to make peace with his wife Lenka. His attempts seem to bring no results, and it is at this moment that Jakub receives a unexpected help from a mysterious creature hidden in the depths of his spaceship and dating back to the dawn of time. This creature is called Hanus and decides to collaborate with the astronaut trying to figure out what went wrong before it’s too late.
