The videogame remakes we would like to see in 2022

The 2022 is almost upon us and we at techprincess have decided to draw up a list of video games which, in our opinion, meriterebbero un remake next-generation. Dreaming and hoping costs nothing, don’t you think? Find out with us who has won a place in the standings and then let us know what the video game remake you would like to see in 2022.

The video games that deserve a remake in 2022

We often complain about cinematographic transpositions inspired by video games, and vice versa. However, many forget one of the few video games that managed to bring honor to the film saga that inspired it, one of the most solid and famous ever: we are talking about The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, a title that debuted in 2003 on the PlayStation 2.

2021 marked the 20th anniversary of Peter Jackson’s masterful adaptation of JRR Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings and fans have been asking for a remake. EA had managed to offer the public two titles that, even today, live prominently in the minds of fans: in particular the third.

The title succeeded in capturing the essence of movies, allowing fans to relive the great battles and team up with friends as part of the Fellowship. Over the years, fans have received highly praised Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War titles. However, nothing could replace the splendid gameplay and the perfect RPG representations that EA had guessed and brought to life with The Return of the King.

Even today the title turns out to be a small one masterpiece, from graphic sector (despite being retro compared to today’s titles), up to sound sector and the wonderful ones challenges of Palantir. We therefore believe that, with a dusting and some slight improvement, it can go back to being one of the most popular video games by the public.

Will we ever get news of the remake? Who knows, we sincerely hope that this 2022 will bring us many joys and surprises.

Dino Crisis

After the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, it was only a matter of time before audiences loudly clamored for a remake of Dino Crisis. Debuted for the first time in 1999 on PlayStation 1, this title allowed Capcom to revolutionize, once again, the horror genre.

Capcom showed us his prowess with the remakes of two Resident Evil chapters and now the public is curious to know what the fearsome would look like. T-Rex and the beloved Regina in the next-generation. We believe the time has come to take back this title e dust it as it should.

The original title was set on the Isle of Ibis, where members of the Secret Operation Raid Team (SORT) are sent to investigate one research facility and to capture a scientist working on a strange project. Spoiler alert: they are using the Dinosaur DNA. The team will then come face to face with ferocious dinosaurs and other monsters that haunt the island.

It was a title terrifying e insanely beautiful. There are rumors that Capcom has filed a new brand for Dino Crisis but we do not know whether it is a remake or a possible sequel. Maybe in 2022 we will receive some surprises?

Silent Hill

Just like the first chapter of Resident Evil, theoriginale Silent Hill played a pivotal role in defining the genere survival horror. Silent Hill, despite what today might be considered flaws (erratic dubbing, annoying camera or slow gameplay), has many features that make it a noteworthy title.

Starting fromterrifying atmosphere, l’incredible location, a exceptional plot, up to the brilliantly disturbing soundtrack. Keeping the vibe of the original, while revamping the dated gameplay elements and graphics, would deliver to the public an extraordinarily terrifying adventure.

Furthermore, after the success of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, it is clear that the public is starting to enjoy survival horror video games even more. Unfortunately, however, as you could have guessed, the best in this category belong to the past.

And that’s why a remake of Silent Hill would be perfect.

In Silent Hill, players take on the role of Harry Mason, a man searching for his missing adopted daughter. He then finds himself scouting the twisted and mysterious city of Silent Hill, where he comes face to face with hideous monsters and must come to terms with his daughter’s true origin. Even today the original title scares people: imagine what could happen with a remake next-generation.

Canis Canem Edit

Put your cards on the table, dear readers, and be honest with us: how many of you have enjoyed this incredible video game for PlayStation 2? And how many of you were late for art or math classes?

Canis Canem Edit is an incredibly fun title that has marked several generations. Recently i rumors about a possible sequel they have become even more insistent and, perhaps, real. So we asked ourselves: what if they did a good remake? What would it look like Bullworth Academy and our sympathetic Jimmy?

With a nice makeover for the next-generation, we believe this open world which debuted on PlayStation 2 in 2006 would attract a lot of gamers to it. On the PlayStation Store it is possible to download the original version but we would be really curious to see a remake, maybe followed by the long-awaited sequel.

Video games that deserve a remake in 2022: Final Fantasy VI

There is one title in particular that, in our opinion, would be wonderful and fascinating in this next-generation: we are talking about Final Fantasy VI. An increasingly abstract dream that often seems even impossible to us. As we said before, however, dreaming costs nothing. So, friends, dream.

Few series in the gaming world have as many chapters as Final Fantasy. Of all the chapters of the famous Square Enix saga, however, the sixth chapter is that most loved and appreciated by the public and from criticism, even after all these years.

Final Fantasy VI is considered, more than any other chapter, the pinnacle of the entire saga. It’s that title every RPG fan should try. Moreover, it was also the last Final Fantasy in 2D. So imagine, in the wake of the remake of Final Fantasy VII, how fans and the gaming industry would be entranced if the title got a 3D remake of the current generation.

Chrono Trigger

Aside from the fan-made Chrono Resurrection, there hasn’t been a true remake of the classic for SNES. Often regarded as the greatest RPG of all time, its multiple endings, character development and story have been hugely influential on the genre and the industry as a whole.

The only problem here would be making a remake correctly, without destroying the masterpiece it already is.

Chrono Trigger is a huge, multi-faceted game, and doing a three-dimensional remake, fully voiced and dusted off, is a huge undertaking. However, if done right and carefully, it could take one of the next steps greatest games ever made.

The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time

When it debuted on the Nintendo 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time it literally blew the collective minds of developers, critics and fans alike with its (then) fantastic graphics, intuitive camera and controls, and the depth and freedom it offered its players.

It is still considered today one of the best video games ever and we believe that with graphics worthy of the next-generation and a few precautions, it can be back in vogue. Link’s adventures have never bored the public and we are sure that longtime fans, and maybe even newcomers, would fully appreciate a remake of this chapter.

Video games that deserve a remake in 2022: Kula World

We conclude our list in a surprising and, certainly, unexpected way. Kula World it is a seemingly simple and perhaps even silly video game but those of you who have tried it know exactly what it’s made of. It is one of the most addicting and complicated puzzles of the 90s your PlayStation 1.

We would really like to see a remake of this title, not so much for the graphics – which, in any case, would do our justice justice. cute beach ball – but to try again the thrill of that title on our skin. Obviously to get the same frustration twenty years ago, it is necessary that the remake keep the atmosphere and game mechanics intact.

No changes difficulty or levels.

Kula World boasted the beauty of 150 levels divided into ten different worlds, more 30 bonus levels e 10 hidden levels. The first levels are simple: all you have to do is move the beach ball, the protagonist of this adventure, and collect the required objects. Keys, fruit, coins, hourglasses and much more.

But after a while the levels start to shift and you get stuck in that endless loop of frustration but fun: the world of Kula. It is a compelling and truly incredible title – and one that will probably have offered many of you many hysterics. Despite everything, seeing him back on the next-generation with his jingle and tenacity would be truly incredible.
