The Witcher is about to return to Netflix with a new season whose trailer is already available. The new chapter will be divided into two parts
Finally the wait is almost over, in a few weeks we could see the new season of The Witcher. Netflix has recently released the new trailer in which we will see, for the last time Henry Cavill take on the role of Geralt in Rivia. Although the new season consists of suns 8 episodes, these will be divided into two chapters. The first, made up of 5 episodes, will be broadcast on June 29thwhile the remaining 3 will be broadcast by July 27th. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich will be the showrunner and executive producer of the show. At his side Stephen Surjik, Gandja Monteiro, Loni Peristere e Bola Ogun they will take care of the direction. Mike Ostrowski, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, Tania Lotia, Haily Hall, Matthew D’Ambrosio, Clare Higgins, Rae Benjamin e Troy Dangerfield instead they worked on the script. In this new season, shot far and wide, between England, Wales, Croatia, Slovenia, Morocco and even Italy, we will find Geralt. Our favorite is intent on leading Features away from those who want to hurt her, with the aim of protecting her, with all the strength in her possession. The two are accompanied by Yennefer, eager to lead them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, with the aim of studying the girl’s latent powers more closely. To their surprise, however, they discover that they have landed in a hostile place, made up of dark magic, corruption and betrayal, where it will not be easy to escape unscathed.
In this new chapter of The Witcher we will meet again for the last time Henry Cavill, in one of the roles that made him unforgettable in the panorama of TV series, that of Geralt of Rivia. At his side Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Freya Allan in those of Princess Cirilla of Cintra e Joey Batey in those of Buttercup. Also in the cast Myanna Buring (Weaver), Eamon Farren (Cairo), Mimî M Khayisa (Fringilla), Royce Pierreson (Istredd), Anna Shaffer (Triss Merigold), Mecia Simson (Francesca), Tom Canton (Filavandrel) e Mahesh Jadu (Vilgefortz), Graham McTavish (Dijkstra) e Cassie Clare (Philippa).
The future of The Witcher
As already mentioned, this will be the last season in which Henry Cavill will appear as the protagonist. In the coming seasons, the actor will be replaced by Liam Hemsworth. However, it seems that this replacement will not create problems for the series. Sophie Holland, director of casting has in fact confessed that the series will continue with a fourth and then a fifth season. Netflix has not yet made the news official, given that it is not yet known how the public will react to the change of actors. Waiting for certain news, we at everything we can’t wait to discover this new, third season, to enjoy once again the adventures of Geralt of Rivia which, from the trailer, are full of action and twists.
