You pedal with an extra sprint thanks to the Thunder 1, Velotric takes to the road with the fluid e-bike not only for the city. Above all, Velotric con Thunder1 comes close to making it look like a muscle bike.
The heart and thrust are given by a revamped torque sensing powerplant. But its appearance is that of a classic city bike.

The company Velotric born in July 2021, from the co-founder of hardware Lime, Adam Zhang. This along with team members of the likes of Giant, Decathlon e Specialized. While in October it had launched its first model on Indiegogo, the Discover1.
The manufacturer has come a long way in less than two years. After the exemplary Nomad 1, known for its fat tyres. Now, Velotric is betting on city e-bikes. Here it brings the Thunder 1 model to attention.

Thunder 1 Of Velotric was born for a “frantic and fast city lifestyle“. The e-bike makes it easy to climb the stairs to the apartment or office. The e-city on the scale weighs just 16 kg. The electrical components are integrated into the 6061 aluminum alloy frame and the cables are also internally routed to maintain clean lines.
The e-bike is powered by the transmission system E-Series. The motor is at the rear hub 350W E35 (600W peak) producing 45Nm couple. This delivers five levels of pedal assistance up to 20 mph (32 km/h). Models in the series also benefit from responsive torque sensing, which registers how hard a rider pumps on the pedals. Both feature Shimano 8-speed mechanical drivetrains for more flexible riding options.

The Thunder 1 step-over ebike is treated to a smart Plus version enabled for Bluetooth of the engine, which works with a companion mobile app for keyless unlocking, motion sensing, and GPS tracking.
Real-time driving data and lighting control. Crash detection via integrated IoT sensors and integration with Apple Health (for iOS users) will be added later. The ST version doesn’t work with the app, but is compatible with tracking technologies Where of Apple.

The drums and 352,8 Wh is made up of cells Samsung 21700which allow a Thunder 1 to travel up to 112.6 km with 700-38c puncture resistant ebike tires. It can be optioned with a 176Wh range extender for an additional 30 miles. Stopping power comes from Tektro hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors.
The Thunder 1 ST model costs US$1,499 and comes in small and medium frame sizes with Lava and Sand as color choices.
While the Thunder 1 step-over ebike costs $1,799 and comes in medium and large frames in either Frozen Blue or Crystal Black.
