Tower of Fantasy is a title very active: there is always something to do, we have a number of main and secondary missions to play and you certainly don’t get bored. We have the ability to eliminate enemies, climb mountains, meet characters from around the world, collect materials and much more. In short, it will be impossible to be left with nothing to do.
If you are afraid of getting lost in such a vast open-world, fear not, because this title has an ace up its sleeve: the jetpack. Thanks to this tool you can easily explore the environment that surrounds you and complete all the missions you want. However, keep in mind that this is an item classified as relic. This means that you can only use it if equipped in one of the two relic slots you have available. Furthermore, at least in the beginning, it’s not very easy to use: the controls are in fact not very intuitive.
Don’t you like to fly? Don’t worry because Tower of Fantasy allows you to move quickly thanks to one moto that you can pull out of your inventory. In addition, during the title you will have the opportunity to unlock many other vehiclesuntil you find your favorite.
One of the aspects we liked the most is the combat systemcharacterized by powerful combos e mind blowing moves. Furthermore, the skills of Tower of Fantasy are related to weapons that are used during fights, making everything more interesting and dynamic. At first it will be possible to equip only two weapons; later, proceeding forward, you will have the option to equip more.
Each weapon will have a main feature: there are weapons for the normal attacksfor the more powerful attacks and for attacks in the air. The main feature of the combat system is precisely that of switch from one weapon to another and create amazing combossurprising our opponents with different fighting styles every time.
Each time you switch weapons, the others will reload. Changing weapons during combat is extremely important, especially if you want to create destructive combos. So far the title looks almost perfect, right? In fact, on balance, Tower of Fantasy is a game Interesting e well done. However, we noticed a detail that did not allow us to fully appreciate the game and we are talking about his tremendous resemblance to Genshin Impact.
The sore point
Of painful notes, in reality, we only have one but it is an element that has troubled us for the duration of our adventure. From the start, despite the stunning graphics and incredible combat system, we couldn’t help but think of another game. We are talking about Genshin Impact.
To say that Tower of Fantasy was inspired by Genshin Impact is almost offensive because here we are not faced with a title that was only inspired. Instead, we are faced with a title that took too much. It is true that there are some differences, such as the possibility of create a main character fully customizablebut it will not be easy to avoid thinking about the similarity with the title of miHoYo.
Tower of Fantasy looks a lot like it – indeed, too much – to Genshin Impact, not only by a graphic point of view but he also resumed various game elements e you plot development. The title of Level Infinite and Hotta Studio, at the end of the games, seemed like a big and vast cliché to us. So keep in mind that if you are a fan of Genshin Impact or have tried and liked the title, you might turn up your nose like we did.
The Tower of Fantasy review – in conclusion
It is not easy for us to judge a title like Tower of Fantasy.
In fact, the title soon has many elements from Genshin Impact, so many that it seems almost his brother it’s a almost identical copy of the original title of miHoYo. However, we would like to underline one thing: this incredible similarity can, in reality, have a double effect on users.
On the one hand it can make them turn up their noses, prompting them not to complete their mission and to abandon the title. On the other hand, however, it can intrigue them e push them to complete Tower of Fantasy to see what other elements were captured by Genshin Impact. And maybe, who knows, they might find themselves in front of an interesting and stimulating story.
We, unfortunately, we failed to appreciate it completely. As we completed our missions and explored the vast and wonderful open-world, we couldn’t stop thinking to Genshin Impact and all the elements that the two titles share.
