Thursday 3 November, another day full of screenings at Trieste Science + fiction
Trieste Science + Fiction 2022, the science fiction festival, will take place until 6 November in the Julian capital.
It is scheduled for Thursday 3 November a third day full of meetings and screenings.
The program
It starts in the morning at 11.00 at Rossetti with 2022: I survivors of Soylent Green, based on the dystopian novel by Harry Harrison and directed by Richard Fleischer. The 1973 sci-fi cult will be presented in a restored version for the Classix section.
Also for 11.00 at Miela, instead there will be the preview of Maika: The Girl From Another Galaxy by Ham Tran.
It is about a Vietnamese film dedicated to children, aimed at demonstrating what children and young people are capable of when the environment sends a signal for help. The film is presented as part of the Education Program.

At 15.00 it will be the turn of the European Fantastic Shorts vol.01 at the Politeama Rossetti. It will be the selection of European short films in competition for the Méliès d’argent Prize.
Mondofuturi
On the same day Mondofuturi talks begin, on cycle of meetings to dialogue with science communicators and communicators about the world of tomorrow which will take place live at the DoubleTree by Hilton at the Miela Theater.
At 11 there will be the meeting with Lorenzo Davia and Roberto Furlani, which will retrace the long history of the relationship between science fiction and videogames.
To follow at 12.00 the presentation of the anthology Fanta-Scienza 2 by Marco Passarello with nine stories freely inspired by interviews with researchers from the Italian Institute of Technology. Together with the curator, Simonetta Olivo from the FantaTrieste collective will be present.
At 6 pm theanteprima del documentario It’s Quieter In the Twilight by Billy Miossi who tells the longest and most far-reaching mission in NASA history, namely Voyager.
Previews
At 4 pm at the Miela, theZero preview of Faye Gilbert’s directorial debut. Set in the not too distant future, while all the adults have settled on the mainland escaping a tyrannical regime, the teenager Zero goes in search of a safe place with his brothers.
At 5.00 pm at the Rossetti theanteprima italiana di The Witch: Part 2 – The Other One by Hoon-jung Park. Super awaited sequel to The Witch: Part 1 – The Subversion, a Korean sci-fi opera.
At 8.00 pm the evening continues, again at the Rossetti with the film LOLA by Andrew Legge, a compelling feature film that develops from the complicated path of time travel.
At 22.00 still at the Rossetti, there will be thenational preview of The Breach directed by Rodrigo Gudiño and produced by Slash. The story unfolds around a mutilated body that is found on the banks of the Porcupine river.
At 00.00, the day closes onInternational Premiere of Walking Against the RainScott Lyus at the Miela. An astonishing exploration of a future is shown in which the population tries to be able to survive an alien threat in a world where human connections are no longer present.
