Uber’s apps are preparing to support iOS live activities
The confirmation regarding the imminent support has arrived in these hours. Uber apps now integrate support for iOS Live features even if users can’t take advantage of them yet. The company is likely testing the feature internally and should roll it out to everyone within a few weeks.
With support for Live activities, it will be possible for Uber and Uber Eats users follow directly from the Lock Screen or Dynamic Island events linked to your Uber account. For example, the status of a delivery made with Uber Eats can be monitored without having to open the application but simply by taking a look at the Live activity.
We’ll see how Uber and Uber Eats support the new iOS feature in detail. There choice not to introduce support immediately could be related to willingness to better refine the functioning to ensure maximum performance for users. More updates will come soon.
